Love in a Mist White

Love-in-a-Mist favors full sun and cultivated soil. It is also often referred to as Devil-in-a-Bush. This flower works great as a cut and dried flower. The seed pods it produces are often dried and then presented in flower arrangements. Love-in-a-Mist thrives in areas that endure only mild summers. In hot climates they will not come into a full bloom. They belong to the Ranunculaceae family, and are related to Anemones, Clematis, Aquilegia, and Buttercup. These flowers need to receive up to six hours of sunlight a day. Where harsh winters are weathered, plant the seed on top of well-drained soil in the spring. In areas that experience gentle winters the seeds may be planted during the fall planting season. This flower handles transplanting poorly. Blooming can be prolonged if the flowers are pinched back, or if the seed is spread every 2-3 weeks during the planting season.
